STORMING AUSTRALIA! A Sandtrooper’s Journey for Charity

Now this is a pretty awesome story. 501st Legion member Scott Loxley has been “Storming around Australia” in full Sandtrooper gear since November 2013.  This Australian bad ass has been walking around the country, hitting up every state and territory to raise money for  The Monash Children’s Hospital.  Hoping to raise $100,000 or more to help build a new hospital for the 30,000 or more children the hospital cares for every year.  Battling the elements and wildlife daily, Scott continues to march on. Even extreme 110° heat and subzero nights don’t get in his way. Scott puts it simply:

No matter how tough things get on the road, I know that there are kids battling just to get through every day and doing it with a smile on their face.”

Wow, this guy is incredible. I have trouble walking from my car to the grocery store when it’s 90° out and this guy does it in a full Sandtrooper gear.  I love to hear stories like this. Especially with so much negativity in the world, it’s nice to know that there are wonderful people out there who will lay it all on the line for a great cause. I don’t know about you but he has my donation. Check out some pics of Scott on his Journey below.

DorkUp Buddy and keep fighting the good fight!
